We currently have a Director of Residential Sales opportunity based out of our Richmond, VA facility for CE Mid-Atlantic. This position covers the Metro Richmond and Central Virginia Market. Additionally, the Manager of Residential Sales for the Norfolk, VA Market reports to this position; further encompassing the market area to include southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. The complete market and P&L responsibility encompasses the Richmond, VA and Norfolk, VA markets. This position reports to the VP of Residential Sales for the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Mission: Carrier Enterprise is a joint venture between Watsco, Inc. and Carrier Corporation. Carrier Enterprise sells and distributes Carrier, Bryant, and Payne residential and light commercial Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) products, parts, and supplies throughout the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean utilizing 150 locations in 28 states and Puerto Rico.

Responsibilities:



  • Drive focused actions designed to fuel growth within assigned customer grouping.
  • Deliver growth through sales and generated margin of Residential, Commercial, Ductless/VRF, Parts, Supplies, and adjacent products that are sold into assigned customer grouping.
  • Guide the sales team focus on three key growth strategies: developing dealers, share of wallet growth, and new business acquisition.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a diverse sales team consisting of Account Managers and Inside Sales Representatives.
  • Invest in the professional development of direct reports and recruitment of new talent.
  • Develop and administer accountabilities pertaining to standard work and delivered results within team.
  • Drive utilization of Salesforce CRM platform and account management activities.
  • Establish, build, and maintain relationships within current accounts across the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Active collaboration with all Leaders and Associates within the Mid-Atlantic Region.



Requirements:



  • Ability to use data and Business Intelligence tools to support and drive tasks and initiatives.
  • Proven engagement with digital business tools and eCommerce.
  • Strategic focus and demonstrated experience executing on strategy and delivering results.
  • 3 - 5 years of managerial experience with a proven track record of success.
  • Immense communication ability is critical to success.
  • Ability to persuade, convince, influence, and impress others to gain support and the ability to teach or foster development in others.
  • Exceptional leadership, judgment, and strategic planning with prudent risk-taking abilities.
  • 8+ years of channel sales & management experience within HVAC, industrial, construction, refrigeration, control systems or similar related industry.
  • Deep sales and leadership experiences within a two-step distribution model with channel partnerships.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and lead high performance work teams.
  • BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or Engineering.
  • MBA or related MS degree is welcome but not required.
