Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented manager to lead the TBM practice at FedEx. This role is instrumental in improving business outcomes by giving FedEx a consistent way to translate technology investments to business value while optimizing IT costs and performance. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of IT financial management, TBM principles, and proven experience in implementing complex enterprise software solutions.

Essential Functions

  • Project Leadership: Oversee the end-to-end implementation of IBM Apptio, including planning, execution, and post-implementation support.
  • Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing implementation team, providing guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities.
  • Business Partnership: Collaborate closely with IT finance, business stakeholders, and technology teams to define requirements, gather data, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Data Management: Lead data migration and integration efforts, ensuring data accuracy and consistency for optimal TBM performance.
  • Configuration: Configure TBM modules to meet business needs and optimize IT cost management.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline IT financial processes and leverage TBM to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Change Management: Develop and execute a change management strategy to drive adoption of TBM across the organization.
  • Training and Support: Provide training to end-users and establish ongoing support mechanisms.
  • Performance Measurement: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and track the impact of TBM on IT financial performance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proven experience in leading large corporate initiatives with strong leadership, team-building, and project management abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of IBM Apptio (Apptio Certified Practitioner preferred) or similar TBM solutions, with experience in financial systems, data analysis, and IT finance.
  • Strong business acumen, systems thinking, and the ability to align IT initiatives with larger company strategy.
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining complex information to all levels and influencing stakeholders across the enterprise.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and business objectives, with a data-driven approach to decision-making that supports IT cost, quality, and value management.
  • Successful track record in enterprise software implementations.
  • Finance or Accounting degree/experience HIGHLY preferred

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in computer science, math or directly related quantitative Degree or related field. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years systems development experience which includes programming. Skill in one or more programming languages. If position is in mainframe environment, complex systems experience on IBM operating systems or microprocessors required. Experience in the technical design and development of major data processing projects. IMS experience. If position is in client/server environment, systems development experience to include distributed systems is required. Experience in client/server technology, object oriented (OO) development or case tools. Experience in the technical design and development of major client/server projects.

Domicile Information:

This position can be domiciled anywhere in the United States. The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.

Pay Transparency:

This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the salary information represents the job level minimum and the job level maximum. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: $9,208.38/month - $16,575.08/month
