With this role working in both diagnostic and CT, this would be primarily diagnostic while supporting CT as well.

About the Unit

The Helen DeVos CT team is made up of 7 CT techs that support the Helen Devos Children's Hospital. This team provides coverage 24/7/365 as a level 1 pediatric trauma. The team works in tandem with the diagnostic department on 3rd shift to provide coverage to ER, Inpatients, and emergent Fluoroscopy or Surgery cases. The ideal fit for this role enjoys working with children while challenging themselves to work at the full extent of their skill sets. Opening in downtown Grand Rapids in January 2011, Helen DeVos is a 14-floor building dedicated pediatric facility. The iconic blue building is a landmark of the "Medical Mile". Scope of work

The purpose of this position is to perform imaging examinations/procedures in two or more modalities during the same shift. Time will be divided based on workload.

Qualifications

  • Required Associate's Degree or equivalent years of experience in related field
  • 2 years of relevant experience in primary modality Required
  • 1 year of relevant experience in secondary modality Required
  • At least one License and/or Certification in area of specialty - Upon Hire required
  • At least two Licenses and/or Certifications in area of specialty - within 1 Year required
  • AHA OR ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days required.
