Position Summary

We are seeking a proficient IT Program Manager to oversee the delivery of complex IT programs and projects. The IT Program Manager will be responsible for coordinating and completing projects on time, within budget, and within scope. This role involves setting program governance, monitoring project progress, and communicating the status of the projects to all stakeholders. The ideal candidate should be experienced in working with cross-functional teams and managing large scale complex programs and projects simultaneously. Manages all aspects of program implementation and operations. Works closely with leadership and cross functional teams to develop and execute on project management plan.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and the Oakland General Office or San Ramon Valley Conference Center two days a week.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of thejob posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will bebased on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience,market value, geographic location, and internal equity.Although we estimatethe successful candidate hiredinto this rolewill beplaced between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decisionwill be made on a case-by-casebasis related tothese factors.This job is also eligible to participate inPG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Bay Area Minimum: $140,000

Bay Area Maximum:$238,000

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate various IT projectsto ensure they align with business goals and technology strategic objectives. This includes managing project interdependencies and ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
  • Develop and implement strategic plansfor IT programs, including setting project goals, timelines, and performance metrics to ensure successful delivery.
  • Manage program and project budgets, ensuring financial resources are used efficiently and projects are completed within the allocated budget.
  • Identify potential risksto the success of projects and develop comprehensive mitigation plans to address these risks proactively.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and effective communication among team members from different departments to achieve project objectives.
  • Regularly update stakeholderson project progress, changes, and any issues that arise, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives.
  • Track project milestonesand assess the performance of projects to ensure they meet the set objectives and deliver the expected outcomes.
  • Ensure project teams have the necessary resources, including personnel, technology, and tools, for timely and efficient execution of their tasks.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, communication plans, risk logs, and status reports, to ensure all project information is accurately recorded and accessible.
  • Ensure robust project governance to ensure compliance with internal audit requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovationin the delivery of IT programs by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing best practices.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in technology program and project management

Desired:

  • Experience in PPM Tool such as Planisware
  • PMP from PMI
  • SAFe Agilist
  • SAFe Lean Portfolio Management
