Financial Analyst - Huntersville, NC

The Blueprint (Role Profile)

This position will actively support the monthly reporting and analysis, ad hoc reporting, and KPI tracking using financial analysis techniques, tools, and concepts, to provide practical counsel to business area partners and management to drive business results. The selected candidate will provide timely, relevant and accurate reporting & analysis of business unit performance versus historical, budgeted, and forecasted results, as well as assist in annual budgeting and forecasting activities.

The Build (Responsibilities)

* Identify financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.

* Analyze results, identify trends, recommend actions.

* Develop & track key performance metrics and perform ad hoc analysis.

* Provide support to the business during the monthly close, quarterly forecast, annual budget and reporting processes.

* Support Global SBUs (Strategic Business Units) in analyzing performance and providing actionable insights to leadership.

* Develop financial reports for management with specific focus on profitability reporting.

* Provide monitoring, analysis, and recommended actions for balance sheet & cash flow performance.

* Work jointly with key business stakeholders to understand business requirements and continually look to improve/enhance processes.

* Actively participate in the development of system enhancements and new capabilities.

The Toolbox (Qualifications)

* BS degree in relevant field required (Accounting or Finance strongly preferred).

* 2+ years' experience in reporting, consolidation and financial analysis; manufacturing industry experience a plus.

* Accounting/GAAP knowledge required.

* Working knowledge of corporate financial planning and reporting processes required.

* Hyperion Planning & Essbase Experience preferred, super-user experience a plus.

* Advanced knowledge of MS Office (strong emphasis on Excel) required.

* ERP experience preferred (SAP strongly preferred).

* Experience in the development and maintenance of financial reports using analytic applications or other source databases a plus.

* Effective written and verbal communication skills.

* Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.

* Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
