Job Description

We are currently hiring a Maintenance Technician- Packaging in Breinigsville, PA.

This position requires industrial mechanical knowledge, some electrical, including but not limited to the responsibilities listed below. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.



  • Diagnose and repair all machinery and process malfunctions, must be fluent in mechanical troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting a plus.
  • Diagnose and repair all mechanical power transmission equipment-knowledge of Gearboxes, mechanical drives, and variable speed applications.
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems-knowledge of Cylinders, valves, manifolds, vacuum systems, air filtration, and lubrication devices.
  • Diagnose, repair, and overhaul process pumps, automatic control valves, sensors, positioners, actuators, basic electrical AC/DC troubleshooting, and related systems.
  • Proficient in knowledge of bearings, pulleys, chain drives, belt drives, and lubricants standards and applications.
  • Read and decipher mechanical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, sometimes repeatedly
  • Regular walking and standing for long periods of time (up to 11 hours a day) on concrete, metal and grated surfaces
  • Responsibilities may require crouching, stepping over, crawling under, bending, twisting, climbing and reaching above head and shoulders repeatedly throughout the day
  • Responsibilities may require climbing flights of stairs, working from heights or on elevated platforms
  • Ability to wear assigned PPE (safety shoes, gloves, facemask, hearing protection and hard hat)
  • Established dexterity so you can handle materials, operate equipment and interface with computer systems with precision
  • Some roles (e.g., forklift operator) may be required to sit for a prolonged period of time and have strong peripheral vision and depth perception Working Conditions
  • There is frequent exposure production environments:
  • Subject to loud and constant noise * Non-environmentally conditioned spaces which may lead to extreme hot and cold
  • Operating environment is complex and densely populated with production equipment and forklifts that necessitates high situational awareness
  • Work overtime as needed which may require 12-hour days, weekends, and holidays completed


What Ingredients You'll Bring:

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Experience in installation and repair of mechanical, electrical, pumps, and valve cluster arrangements required.
  • Trending Data analysis and problem-solving skills required.
  • Experience with VFDs, control systems (PLC's/HMI's), electrical protective devices with knowledge of calibration procedures and equipment, including Fluke and Transcat.
  • Skilled in the application and use of mechanical tools, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Skilled in the machine shop to machine within specific tolerance using various measuring equipment.
  • 480v 3 phase knowledge required.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Knowledge and practice of NFPA 70E preferred.
  • Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Systems (CMMS) is a plus.
  • Excellent mechanical troubleshooting ability
  • 2+ years' experience and demonstrated history of troubleshooting and repairing equipment (described above), personal/process control computers, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and Networking devices.


Hourly In accordance with pay transparency lawsthe pay rate for this role if hired is $32.78 per hour.
