Application Support Specialist
Overview Provides technical and functional support to management in the design, architecture, installation, configuration, performance, monitoring, and security of the Business and Quality Application systems. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical and data problems. Ensures the availability and reliability of the system within span of control. Responsibilities The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the duties and responsibilities performed within this classification. Installs and configures Business and Quality Application software and associated tools
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration or related field from an accredited college or university. Two (2) or more years of technical experience; software implementations and support; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (up to 20 pounds).
