Job Duties |
Assist with recruitment and retention of
MSN faculty.
Oversight and review of the program's graduate Core curriculum.
Serves as liaison between the department, college, graduate school, and any other such agencies with which the graduate program comes into contact.
Schedules and oversees advising, qualifying examinations, and conflict resolutions involving graduate students.
Schedules and conducts graduate faculty and/or graduate committee meetings.
Responds to routine requests for program information and applications.
Determines faculty teaching schedule for
MSN Core courses.
Mentors PT and FT faculty in best practices in online teaching.
Assists the unit chair and works with (graduate) faculty/ graduate committee in program review, program assessment, allocation of resources, curriculum development, student assessment, and graduate faculty rank/status.
Assists the unit chair in student academic integrity violations. Mentors and supports Concentration Directors in program expansion and development to increase enrollment.
Reviews and signs official forms required by the Graduate School.
Assists Department Chair in reports required by university, accreditation, and others as assigned.
Serves as unit assessor completing necessary reports to
IPAR.
Attends the Graduate School's meetings with the Graduate Program Directors and Coordinators.

Minimum Education/Experience |
2 years in nursing practice, preferably 1 year of education experience in an academic setting. |
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation |
A valid non-restricted North Carolina nursing license |
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education |
5 years in nursing practice, 2 years of education in an academic setting. 1 year experience as concentration director or assistant director in an academic setting.
Training/Education Software skills: Canvas or other Learning Management System, Microsoft Office
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint), computer literacy, academic writing proficiency, grant writing, 2 years leadership experience. |
License or Certification Required by the Department |
