Description

We have a career opportunity for an experienced Regional IT Systems Administrator to work in two senior housing facilities (Monroe, MI and Ohio) managing the technical systems that support these communities. Saint Therese based in Minnesota, provides management support to these organizations.

Responsibilities:

The Regional IT System Administrator is responsible for configuring, upgrading, and maintaining existing and future on premise, cloud infrastructure and business systems for IHM, SLC. This position leads: planning and execution of system migration from on premise to cloud platforms; planning, configuring and managing Disaster Recovery solutions and processes; and the overall management of on premise and cloud infrastructure performance and health, tuning configurations to reduce the overall cost of ongoing business system expenses.

In addition, the Regional IT Systems Administrator provides support for all legacy on premise infrastructure, including VMware, Windows, SAN and NAS storage and other infrastructure systems. A wide breadth of experience with information solutions is required to assist with and maintain compliance with current software systems, applications, and ancillary systems transmitting and storing HIPAA sensitive information. Other duties include, but are not limited to: troubleshooting and correcting system and LAN errors, adapting to new hardware, maintaining interfaces, working with vendors to improve performance, providing support to community staff for meaningful use processes, and performing routine maintenance of third-party software applications.

Hours: Typically will work Monday - Friday day shift, but candidate must have the ability to work off hours and weekends.

Qualifications:

Education:



  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience is required.
  • Technical certificates are preferred.


Experience:



  • A minimum 4 years of experience in computer support services in the healthcare industry and 2 years solid experience with Windows server and Linux/Unix operating systems required


Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • Knowledge of Cloud platforms from one or more of major providers (Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, Google Cloud)
  • Experience in migrating complex systems from on premise to Cloud.
  • VMware experience a desirable plus
  • Backup software (Acronis/Avamar/Rubrik) is highly desirable
  • Work as an effective and proactive team-player; understand the importance of supporting the organization, residents/tenants/customers and employees
