POSITION SUMMARY
Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine School of Pharmacy (PCOM-SOP) is dedicated to developing leaders in pharmacy through an engaging and immersive learning environment supported by academic departments holding a commitment to innovative research, teaching, and professional and community service.
The PCOM-SOP invites applications from highly motivated candidates for a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor faculty position in the Department of Pharmacy Practice with a specialized practice area in Internal Medicine. T
he primary role of this position will be focused on developing a successful clinical practice in inpatient Internal Medicine. Additional responsibilities include service to the practice site, institution, and contributions to research and scholarship.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain a clinical practice site to provide patient care, as well as a location to act as a Preceptor for students and residents.

Provide didactic, laboratory, and small group teaching as well as, course coordination as assigned by the Chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice.
*
Serve as a mentor, advocate and adviser to students and peer faculty members to guide their scholarly development and career aspirations.
*
Conduct scholarly activities within the department and school.
*
Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education
* PharmD - Graduate of an accredited school or college of pharmacy (required).
* Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY-1 Residency or Fellowship, or equivalent experience in the specialty area (
required).
* Active Georgia pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure within 60 days of hire (
required).
Desired Qualification
* Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY-2 in Internal Medicine.
