KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Enter ship dates, correction, and additions to create the final shop schedules in a timely manner
  • Enter orders onto the master schedule or master shop order according to ship date
  • Generate and distribute daily and weekly reports as requested. This may include reports for ship date submittals, and status reports on bookings.
  • File and maintain shop orders or file order submittals as needed; pending plant location
  • Assist with production schedules for product lines, initiates shop orders, and establishes priorities for specific customer orders.
  • Updates schedule daily with guidance from senior team members and direct leadership.
  • Communicates to customer facing department(s) ship dates based on customer requested dates, material availability, and capacity constraints.
  • Respond to questions from Production Supervisors regarding schedules, order submittals, drawings, drawing distribution, etc.
  • Works as a liaison between Customer Service and Production on all expedite requests
  • Assist in setting and maintaining product master and planning fields in ERP system
  • Work collaboratively with cross plant planning counterparts
  • Work with purchasing and operations teams on schedule impacts and resolution.
  • Respond to questions about job status and scheduling, including delivery status of sales orders
  • Communicate change orders and hot jobs to shop personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Associates Degree or 1-3 years related manufacturing experience
  • Previous experience with ERP system a plus (Epicor preferred but not required)
  • Good communication skills including the ability to respond to inquiries from other internal departments or manufacturing personnel
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:



  • Standard office environment
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach
  • Ability to work extended hours sitting at a computer


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to high places, fumes or airborne particles and/or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the plant environment is usually loud.
