Danfoss Drives is currently looking for our next Center of Excellence - Engineering Manager.North America is one of Danfoss Drives "High Growth Regions". Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.




  • Lead team as a neutral opportunity manager to support sales team on key must win projects, with a special focus on new projects and onboarding of new System integrators and OEM's.
  • Opportunity decision making based on strategic focus areas, specification review and product fit (go/no-go).
  • Partner with product marketing & management to help set consistent pricing, advocate for product updates and new products, stock and business cases as required.
  • Organize Center of Excellence (COE) resources to support opportunities & customers, noting that multiple resources may be required to meet project needs, as skill sets are diverse.
  • Work with inside sales to quoting standards for modules, accessories, cabinets, and custom cabinet designs.
  • Utilizing and establish strong Salesforce CRM rules for case and opportunity management.
  • Support project specification review and development.
  • Technical and application training development for training team, support teams and sales personnel as required.
  • Leveraging key application experiences to train and develop others.
  • Project and/or technical product management as directed for key accounts.
  • Individual Maintenance of extensive product portfolio and application expertise.
  • Drive team for creation of white papers and case stories to support technical development of colleagues and marketing materials.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.






    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field (BSEET or BSME)
    • 5 years in a relevant focus area for technical sales support of VFD's and power conversion equipment, such as Electrification, Heavy Industry, and O&G for OEM's and System Integrators
    • 5-10 years of relevant experience with sizing and selection of power components for heavy industries and Electrification
    • Experience with UL508A Cabinet standards, NEC, UL1741 considered an asset
    • Ability to travel within the NAM region with up to 30% overnight
