Behavioral Health Intern Autism Maumee
Overview Under the direction of a Behavioral Consultant, or Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA), the intern performs behavioral therapy and directs, guides, teaches, mentors students with autism. Uses the Applied Behavioral Analyses (ABA) techniques to reinforce desired behaviors set up through the programming. Treats students and their families with dignity and respect while helping to reinforce a positive and conducive environment for learning. The intern will also do behavioral programming under the supervision on the BCBA working towards degree required supervised hours. Why Nationwide Children's Hospital? Responsibilities * Develops, supports, implements, and modifies therapeutic and behavioral management programs.
* Performs patient evaluation, works with school to develop IEP and plans out ABA portion of program. * Assesses student's learning and emotional needs by working directly with the students and consulting other team members and/or family members. * Participates in team, staff, parental and professional meetings and consults with teams as representative of child's treatment status. * Provides one on one and small group instructions implementing daily and weekly programs. Assists students in class routines and transitioning between activities while reinforcing behaviors through the use of positive behavior support and collects data/writing anecdotal information of behavioral progress. Qualifications Education: Proficient clinical Experience with children between the ages of 1-12, required. OCCASIONALLY: 1-33% OF THE TIME (0.5 TO 2.5 HOURS) Need help finding the right job?
