Job Description: Medical Director-Musculoskeletal Clinical Program-Podiatry oversees a Musculoskeletal Service Line subspecialty and provides strategic direction, leadership, oversight, and support for a region-wide Musculoskeletal physician team and develops a culture of highly reliable, high value care for patients. The Medical Director communicates with all Musculoskeletal care providers across the region. The Medical Director partners and collaborates with other leaders in the Musculoskeletal Service Line to create a professional and positive environment for providers to work. The Medical Director champions provider growth and development, innovation, continuous improvement, and is accountable for the successes of the Musculoskeletal Service Line. This physician is the model Musculoskeletal caregiver for our model healthcare system as evidenced by:
Minimum Qualifications DPM Education must be obtained through a CMPE-accredited institution. Degree will be verified. ABFAS or ABPM Board Certification in Podiatry.
Active Licensure, or in process of obtaining licensure. Three years of clinical experience working as an Orthopedic Surgeon in Podiatry subspecialty.
Two years of experience leading successful improvement in clinical settings.
Two years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.
Experience with change management and leading in the adaptation and implementation of new processes or technology that enhance safety.
Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Trained in improvement science (i.e., Six Sigma, Lean, Project management, Advanced Training Program).
Experience working in a complex health system (e.g., hospitals, ambulatory clinics, post-acute care).
Demonstrated leadership of clinicians. Physical Requirements: Physical Requirements Interact with others requiring employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information.
Operate computers, telephones, office equipment, and manipulate paper requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.

Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
