The college is governed by the University of Arkansas System Board of Trustees and a seven-member Board of Visitors and derives its support largely from student tuition and fees and legislative appropriations. Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties:The Recruitment Coordinator reports to the Associate Director of Admissions and will be responsible for managing the university's undergraduate student recruitment efforts in an assigned territory and other areas such as non-credit training programs as designated. This is a twelve-month position stationed at the Main campus in Little Rock.The successful candidate must possess knowledge of the internet and conventional office technology tools, email, internet search engines, and Microsoft Office software Word, Excel, and Outlook. Candidate must have the ability to organize multiple tasks and documents that have been concurrently assigned; maintain cohesive working files and documentation of project tasks; work a flexible schedule which includes nights, weekends, and holidays; and self-initiate project tasks after accepting an assignment under general supervision. Communications skills, oral and written, are essential. Candidate must have the ability to operate a motor vehicle and hold a valid driver's license and to travel in and out of state, which may include overnight stays. General Responsibilities: 1.Maintain relationships with high school counselors and community-based organization representatives. 2.Utilize technology and social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, etc) to tell UA-PTC's story. 3.Visit high schools to recruit students, working college fairs as well as presenting at college-day and community events. 4.Visit with industry partners and state agencies to recruit students. 5.Assist with the development of traditional and non-traditional recruitment strategies and projects while collaborating with other campus departments and offices regarding recruiting activities. 6.Plan and participate in on-and off-campus recruiting events. 7.Report and track recruiting activities; develop a robust communication strategy to provide adequate follow-up to interested prospective students. 8.Provide students and visitors with information about UA - PTC, admissions requirements, and undergraduate programs of study within the office campus visit program. 9.Provide administrative support during peak admission operations processing times by answering phones, meeting with students, and processing student applications and documents. 10.Provide campus tours to prospective students and their families 11.Other duties as assigned.
