PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Responsible for conducting and assessing professional development programs for GROWMARK and System employees. Collaborates with department staff and management teams in developing, planning and leading activities to develop member cooperative and GROWMARK Corporate employees.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Conducts professional development training across all areas of the System.

Confers with management and supervisors to gain knowledge of workplace situations that require training efforts.

Determines instructional methods to deliver training needs to groups, individuals or programs.

Strengthens employee preparedness for future trends and equips all leadership and employees with the skills/competencies that align to the Service Excellence Standards.

Assists in the development, implementation, and assessment of training materials and technology for all programs being conducted by the Training Department.

Provides coaching to managers/supervisors to assist leaders in interpreting data collected from 180 and 360 feedback instruments and creates action plans with supervisors/leaders.

Supports efforts of the Field Training team by conducting needs assessments with Member Company leadership to define training requirements and determine timelines for implementation.

Collaborates with the Field Training Team to conduct customer service and professional development training at Member Companies and Retail facilities.

Works in partnership with other Training & Development staff to prepare for and facilitate development sessions.

Serves as a Talent Liaison to departments, guiding leaders through talent identification, succession, and development planning.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a Bachelors degree in human resources,education, business, or business related discipline, or the equivalent thereof, and 3 years or more of related experience.

Requires an understanding of and proven experience in planning, developing, and presenting training; as well as basic needs analysis with cultural awareness.

Proven understanding and experience program development along with ability to utilize techniques in assessing program effectiveness.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Must have a valid driver's license and passport with the ability to work extended hours and travel independently overnight (sometimes frequently).

Frequently required to work extended hours.

Frequently required to lift and move 21-50 lbs.

Prefer an understanding of GROWMARK members and retail divisions.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
