This is a continuing teaching-track position, with the possibility of promotion to Associate and Full Professor of Instruction. The Department of Neurobiology is a collegial and interactive community that is committed to high-quality scientific research and education. We run a thriving undergraduate program (>100 graduates per year) within Northwestern University's Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences. In addition, NU's vibrant academic community offers ample opportunities for further intellectual engagement and career development. Minimal qualifications include a Ph.D. in Neuroscience or a related field, which must be conferred by September 1, 2025, and a primary career interest in undergraduate education. Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated excellence, breadth, and innovation in teaching.

Applicants should submit: (1) a cover letter, (2) a curriculum vitae, (3) a detailed teaching statement (three pages max), (4) examples of course syllabi, (5) student evaluations, and (6) contact information for three references, at least two of whom can discuss the candidate's teaching qualifications. The Department of Neurobiology takes seriously our commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive community. Candidates are welcome to describe within their teaching statement how their experiences and approaches around diversity and inclusion inform their approach to teaching and advising. Applications must be submitted electronically at: http://www.neurobiology.northwestern.edu/people/faculty-openings/
