The Department of Sociology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for two Assistant/Associate Professor (tenure-track) faculty positions to begin July 1, 2025. These positions are open to scholars who specialize in at least one or more of the following areas: migration, gender, or sexualities. We seek applications from scholars who exhibit a record of strong and innovative research and excellence in teaching.

Position Summary |
This Assistant/Associate Professor position will teach graduate and undergraduate courses, conduct research in the field of Sociology while continuing their own research, participate in departmental service, and mentor graduate students. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
PhD in Sociology or related area. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Specialization in one of more of the following areas: migration, gender, or sexualities. A record of strong, innovative research and excellence in teaching. |
