We are hiring for an Information Technology (IT) Project Manager Intern who will be assist with the coordination and completion of large scale and/or cross-team projects within the Technology Services teams. Assist and become familiar with all aspects of the project including project launch, execution, and post-project closure activities. The IT Project Manager works across multiple teams and with hardware/software vendors when necessary to effectively coordinate activities, monitor progress, and address issues as they arise.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities



  • Focus on meeting project commitments throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Learn and follow defined and agreed upon project management methodology.
  • Coordinate the creation of the project's vision and scope with project sponsors, stakeholders, and project team members.
  • Help facilitate project launch activities, regular project meetings, standups, closeout and assessment meetings and other various project activities with project team members, leadership and vendors when appropriate.
  • Help establish milestones appropriate for project goals and objectives, utilize methods to monitor project progress against established milestones, identify resource solutions to project issues, coordinate resolutions to obstacles, and communicate project status.
  • Resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas.
  • Track project expenses against budget, estimate variances, and communicate project expenditure summaries to leadership when appropriate.
  • Coordinate project implementation, change management, testing and training plans when appropriate.


Education Requirements



  • Working towards a Bachelor's degree preferably in the fields of Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Communications, Business Administration and Management, or Marketing.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Adaptable
  • Proficient in a Windows environment using various Microsoft Office products
