Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly collaborative
Website Coordinator to lead and manage the development and maintenance of a web
portal with websites for our diverse research projects/centers. The ideal
candidate will be a skilled web portal project manager with a keen eye for
detail and a strong understanding of web based collaboration activities and
principles. They will work closely with researchers, web developers, and other
community stakeholders to ensure that project websites are informative, visually
appealing, and aligned with project goals.

Essential Functions:
Project Leadership and Coordination:

Drive website development projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Foster collaboration among research teams, web developers, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Effectively communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to all stakeholders.

Website Management:

Collaborate with research teams to define website requirements and goals.
- Oversee website design, content development, and technical implementation.
- Manage website content, including updates, revisions, and new page creation.
- Optimize website content for search engines (SEO).
- Monitor website performance and make necessary adjustments.

Content Strategy, Events and Management:
-
Develop and implement content management strategies to ensure clear and effective communication.
- Gather, organize, and curate high-quality content for website publication.
- Ensure content is accurate, up-to-date, and engaging.
- Manage website user permissions and access controls.

Data Analysis and Reporting:
-
Track website traffic and user behavior.
- Analyze website performance metrics and provide actionable insights to research teams.
- Prepare regular reports on website activity, performance, and user engagement.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, project management, or a related field with knowledge of web services .
- Proven experience in managing website development projects from start to finish.
- Strong project management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver results.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Proficiency in WordPress.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of SEO and web analytics is preferred.
- At the university's discretion, the education
and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can
demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of
education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in
the position.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment across several disciplines.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
- Proficiency in Project Management Software (Monday.com, Jira, Asana).
