West Virginia University College of Law seeks to hire a tenure-track or tenured position for the 2025-2026 academic year. We are particularly interested in candidates who will teach courses in the following areas: torts, contracts, administrative law, business law, health law, civil rights, professional responsibility, and environmental law or energy law; however, qualified applicants in other areas may be considered. WVU Law is the only law school serving West Virginia and has established a place among the nation's leading public law schools. Service is the cornerstone of our mission as a land-grant institution. The College has been recognized among the nation's top law schools for public interest programs and practical training. The College is located in Morgantown, ranked one of the top small cities in the country and easily accessible to Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Columbus, Baltimore, and Washington, DC. Qualifications
Candidates should have an excellent academic record and must hold a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school or an equivalent degree (such as a Ph.D.) in a related field. Candidates should have a passion for teaching, a record of or potential for scholarly distinction, and a commitment to service in the law school and community. Appointment and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.
