Your opportunity

The Manufacturing Engineer will optimize factory costs, quality, and customer service through the conception, development, and implementation of new or improved manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, material flow, plant layout, or product design.

This individual will also assume the role of CNC Programmer for our metal fabrication systems through the foaming process. This will include all robotic and machine programming for production as well as system optimization for peak labor and material savings. This initial focus will set the bar for the long-term CNC programmer which this role will oversee.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinate and implement basic training initiatives to support manufacturing.
  • Specify and justify basic capital expenditures.
  • Purchase and implement tooling and equipment to support daily operations.
  • Provide basic technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Recognize and recommend design and process changes to improve manufacturability.
  • Identify and implement improvements to material utilization, cell layout and machinery efficiency.
  • Provide summarized data to influence key management decisions relating to budgeting, staffing, and capacity planning.
  • Participate in Lean and safety initiatives.
  • Manage basic individual projects in accordance with predetermined completion dates.
  • Support production and manufacturing to optimize quality, productivity, on-time delivery, and operational efficiencies resulting in improved customer satisfaction.
  • Support production and manufacturing quality management system and policies.
  • Participate in the initial plant start up in Tulsa.
  • Support as an ME/CNC hybrid role with a short-term focus on material and labor optimization in Fab, material handling and foam processing.
  • Long term more of a traditional ME role supporting plant growth and optimization.
  • Short term focus on production CNC programming.
  • Material and labor optimization associated with Fab through foam processes.

What you should have

  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience in engineering required.
  • 2-5 years of experience internally in ME or equivalent role
  • 4 Year / bachelor's degreein engineering or equivalent experience is required
  • Basic CAD skills strongly preferred.
  • SAP experience is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of Lean concepts preferred.
