What you'll do Viasat's Platforms and Software division is modernizing our unified software stack, and you will be a key part of powering our aviation business present and future. As a member of a DevOps team you will help accelerate the adoption of Golang as your team and others refactor and optimize our system. We are always improving the availability, scalability, and operational efficiency of our services. Additional responsibilities include sustaining the legacy software stack running on 2000+ aircraft. You'll interact with Viasat colleagues involved in all parts of the Software Development Life Cycle including stakeholders, product owners, systems engineers, test engineers, customer engineers, and of course your peers. The day-to-day This team is passionate about providing airline employees as well as the end users with the best in-flight connectivity service. In this position you will be an integral part of the Commercial Mobility DevOps organization across teams and make meaningful impacts to the in-flight connectivity service for commercial flights that take place every day. Your responsibilities will range from developing software that is able to scale across multiple commercial airline fleets to crafting new products and services to monitoring and maintaining existing services for the commercial airline passenger, flight crew, mechanics, and installers. Salary range $141,300.00 - $208,300.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $175,600.00- $245,800.00/ annually At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional cash or stock incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
