Acara Solutions is seeking an Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to join our client on a Full Time Direct Hire opportunity located in Alabama, NY.

Come join this Global leader within manufacturing who are expanding and breaking ground on a new site in Genesee.
This will be a remote role until July 2025 as manufacturing is being transitioned from Asia. At least one two-week trip to Korea will be required before then.
As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for developing and implementing new processes and capabilities in house or externally to reduce the product cost of the assembly operation.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist engineers and equipment vendors based in Korea to learn about current processes at existing pump facilities.
- Support the implementation of processes at the new plant in Genesee, NY, including helping with the installation and validation of new equipment and contributing to related documentation.
- Aid in identifying, specifying, and installing new equipment within the facility.
- Provide basic manufacturing engineering support to the operational team as directed.
- Help maintain data system integrity by assisting with tasks such as change orders, non-conformance tracking, and system routing updates.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that support goals in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Cost Performance.
- Assist in performing time studies for assembly processes to support proper routing and improve process flow.
- Help with the definition, setup, and preparation of job orders and manufacturing tooling as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues, customers, and vendors to gather information, understand requirements, and assist in improving production techniques.
- Assist in creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical specifications for manufacturing equipment.
- Help document designs, including creating drawings, specifications, and materials lists.
- Participate in training sessions on process, procedures, and documentation to help build and maintain workforce skills within assigned manufacturing areas.
- Maintain punctuality, work cooperatively in a team, and contribute positively to group efforts.
- Take direction from supervisors or managers and perform other duties as assigned.
- Initially report to the Project Manager in Genesee, NY, with a future transition to reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager as the site grows.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience/knowledge of Kaizen, 6S, Lean Manufacturing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.
- Advanced Excel, Word, AutoCAD, Project, SolidWorks
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP beneficial)
- Experience in project management and leading improvement projects
- A valid passport is required for this position.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical or manufacturing
- 2 years experience in manufacturing, machining, assembly or operations environment.
