- Coordinate with other program leads to ensure the program is completed successfully.
- Work in a team environment throughout the program's lifecycle, using either Waterfall or Agile methodologies.
- Develop software products within all phases of the software lifecycle.
- Guide the project team and ensure project goals are achieved.
- Ensure program plans are followed and artifacts needed are created for each phase of the delivery cycle.
- Actively mentor intermediate and junior engineers.
- Understand overall knowledge of the software activities for the project.
- Comply with all company security and data protection/usage policies and procedures.
- Personally responsible for adequately marking and handling all information and materials in any form.

Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years software development experience.
- Minimum of 10 years experience supporting military or defense programs.
- Minimum of 10 years experience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Minimum of 10 years programming experience in software languages Ada, C/C++, FORTRAN, C#
- Minimum of 10 years experience with task/resource planning, development of BOEs, IMP, and IMS planning.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience using earned value management systems to manage a team's cost and schedule performance.
- Experience with Software Change Control, Change Management, and CI/CD tools such as Atlassian tool suite, GitHub, GitLab, or Jenkins.
- Experience in an Agile/SAFe leadership role (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Release Train Engineer).
- Experience architecting, designing, modeling, implementing, integrating, and debugging OO C++ software running on Real-Time Operating systems such as VxWorks, Integrity, or Real-Time Embedded Linux.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
- Good critical thinking and logical reasoning skills with the ability to solve issues and predict potential programmatic and technical risks.
- Proven track record of building relationships, fostering collaboration, and working cross-functionally with multidisciplinary teams.
- Mentoring, coaching, and excellent 2-way communication skills (upward and downward).
- Time management and organizational skills to prioritize across concurrent program and functional responsibilities.
- Current Special Access Program (SAP) access.
