Job Description
Job Summary: Traveling to multiple locations throughout the day to complete assigned work orders. Troubleshooting/assessing HVAC, energy management, building automation, plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, painting, equipment maintenance and general construction practices. maintenance related issues and supervise mechanical and electrical vendors. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform maintenance repairs and oversee general maintenance services at various locations. Respond to building related issues and emergencies during business and non-business hours as needed.
- Complete repairs such as patching/painting, install lockset, closers, hinges and exit door replacement, general cabinetry repairs.
- Conduct basic plumbing repairs such as toilet repairs/replacement, faucet repairs/replacement and snaking clogged toilets/sinks.
- Utilize our work order system to track and respond to incoming work orders.
- Manage vendors and recommend improvements.
- Inspecting buildings to ensure they meet safety standards. They may also create documents with emergency plans for the facility.
- Managing preventive maintenance contracts for facility equipment, such as HVAC, elevators, and alarm.
- Conduct basic electrical repairs such as replacing outlets, switches, light bulbs, ballast replacement.
- Check and ensure that facilities are clean. Assist with the setup of meeting rooms: furniture, chairs, tables easels, flip charts and white boards, etc.
- Perform duties required to keep equipment, systems, buildings and grounds ready for use. Cooperate with team members and encourage cooperation between retail branch employees.
- Perform additional duties as requested, needed, or assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Working knowledge of maintenance and facilities operating procedures.
- Highly self-motivated and able to work independently without close supervision.
- Ability to troubleshoot facilities equipment and to communicate possible solutions to supervisor.
- Ability to effectively work with colleagues on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and within established timeframes.
- Possess strong communication skills.
- Demonstrates and promotes high ethical standards and behaviors.
- Maintain a professional manner at all times.
- Fluent in written and verbal English communication skills.
- Valid Massachusetts Driver's License.
- Ability to occasionally work nights and weekends.

Experience and Skills
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years working with commercial mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems.
- Deep knowledge of a variety of "handyman" skills in various disciplines including plumbing, electrical, painting and other maintenance and repair skills.
- Basic computer skills desirable
- Valid Massachusetts Driver License and driving record.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Able use a six-foot ladder and lift up to 30lbs.
