Job Summary The Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining a reliable, secure and efficient data communications network. The ability to deploy, configure, maintain and monitor all active network equipment in order to ensure smooth network operation. Responsibilities include but are not limited to installing, repairing, and troubleshooting the computer network from the physical to the transport layer. Essential Functions 40% Core network
20% Layer one physical wiring and supporting infrastructure 20% Design and troubleshoot endpoint communication and managing intermediary devices. Server and service such as network monitoring including PRTG, Meraki, Catalyst Center, Alertus Emergency Management, SonicWALL VPN, among others. Development and maintenance of Cisco VOIP telephony/FAX and Digital Video Solutions. 10% Documentation of maps, locations, configurations, and processes. 10% Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in information technology or related field, and two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience providing technical support in the installation, maintenance, and repair of networking infrastructure and systems. OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree, education, certification and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.
