Medical Assistant II - Neurology Per Diem

Please note this is a per diem position in Neurology. There is a $1.15/hr per diem differential on top of the hourly rate.

Position Summary:

This position assists with the daily activities of a clinical site and facilitates the flow of patients by providing clerical and clinical health care support to patients and family under the direction of a provider. The position requires mastery of basic clinical activities: rooming patients including taking vitals, accurate weight, height measurements, review of medication lists, assisting with stocking medical supplies, pharmacy audits, pre-visit planning and chart prep, checking patients in and out. Good communication and customer service skills required.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational training in a relevant area preferred. CPR certification required.

Experience:

One year of experience providing or assisting in direct patient care is required. Must be able to do chart prep and pre-visit planning. Must also be able to take vital signs. This position is working in afast paced environment needing someone who can multi-task. Must possess excellent customer service skills and strong computer skills. Must enjoying working as a team.
