Job Purpose:

The Sr Product Manager is responsible for managing FXI's portfolio of products throughout the product lifecycle to meet business unit strategic & performance goals. This role plays a crucial part in defining the product strategy and roadmap, ensuring product excellence, and achieving business objectives. This includes developing go to market strategies for innovative new products and rationalizing existing products. This position aligns functions across the organization to a shared product vision, based on a strong understanding of what it takes to deliver winning products in the market. You will be a critical liaison for commercial sales, providing market intelligence, pricing expertise, product training, customer presentation and selling material support. You will also provide leadership to the cross functional teams responsible for executing commercialization plans by prioritizing projects, effectively communicating customer requirements and expectations, and fully understanding internal capabilities to optimize product line speed to market.

This position is remote with 30% travel to our Aston facility & other plants.



Responsibilities

    Lead the product category for mattresses, which is inclusive of multiple brands across various channels.
  • Partner closely with business lines and sales to develop multi-year product strategies aligned with customer needs to ensure long term, profitable revenue growth.
  • Develop customer segmentation strategies to categorize consumers into distinct groups based on demographics, behavior, and preferences to help tailor products and marketing efforts.
  • Develop and execute product roadmap for their respective product lines, including collaborating with the sourcing, procurement, and logistics managers for on-time supply chain operations related to their product lines, and coordinating the overall product launch within their product line. Establish KPI's with which to measure success.
  • Take responsibility for managing a large group of products from concept to design, sample production, testing, forecasting, cost, mass production, promotion, support, and finally product end of life.
  • Lead the development, presentation, and continuous review of (project) business cases; make evidence-based recommendations on the initiation and termination of projects.
  • Collaborate with the account managers and channel managers to seek customer feedback to integrate into the next iteration of the product.
  • Interpret the overall FXI product strategy to their product lines, gathering market insights (collaborate with consumer insights manager).
  • Foster collaboration among different departments, such as marketing, sales, manufacturing, and R&D, to achieve product goals.
  • Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams to facilitate communication.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
    • MBA preferred
  • 7-10 years' household durables/consumer packaged goods and/or B2C with broad experience in product development, sales & marketing with prior P&L responsibility
  • 5+ years' product management experience
  • Proven success in managing the full product lifecycle, from concept development to product launch.
  • In-depth understanding of the assigned product line and the industries it serves.
  • Experience in developing and executing product strategies, including product positioning and value propositions.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with teams such as marketing, sales, and operations to ensure product success.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data-driven approaches to monitor and improve product performance.
