Lead Solution Engineer

The Lead Solution Engineer - analyses, plans, and modifies network components supporting customer communication implementation activities. Develops and evaluates network performance criteria and measurement methods. Prepares the analysis of the short or long-term capacity needs for switching, routing transmission, and signalling. Conducts network feasibility, and cost studies. Develops alternative routing scenarios and changes in required sequence of network activities. Conducts economic and population growth studies to determine impact on network capacity and development plan projections. Performs the end-to-end design activities (including surveys, design itself, and as-built) required for a physical network deployment.

Additional skills will be developed in designing, analysing, planning, and modifying network components, supporting customer communication implementation activities, and ensuring software compatibility. This role will also involve creating and presenting HLD, preparing CIQ as per HLD, dimensioning, and inputs from customers, validating project activity MOP, and preparing migration and go-live strategies.


  • PaCo technical solution delivery as per defined LLD
  • Subsequent Instantiation templates and MOP generation/validation from LLD, data fill sheets.
  • Onboarding and deployment of PACO nodes.
  • Integration and configuration of PACO nodes as per defined LLD.
  • System and Functional ATP test cases execution and documentation of artifacts.
  • Troubleshooting of deployment, integration, and ATP test cases issues; follow-up with care and customer teams with the help of TPM.
  • Responsible for opening trouble tickets via proper channels like Internal JIRA and Salesforce tickets.
  • Migration of Packet Core services support.
  • Support for delivery to Care handover process.
  • Feature activation Testing.
  • MOP and Artifacts preparation for SW upgrades.
  • Software upgrade lab testing and preparation of golden MOP.
  • Software upgrade of PACO nodes.
  • 4eye support.
  • Post-upgrade support and working closely with care/4LS team during emergencies.
  • Knowledge sharing and KT session delivery.
  • Capture Lessons Learned in LL tool.
  • Support Team and practice internal JIRA process.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure software compatibility checks and highlight any deviations.
  • Create and present HLD to customers.
  • Prepare CIQ as per HLD, dimensioning, and inputs from customers.
  • Create LLD as per HLD and CIQ input.
  • Generate data fill/backfill creation as per LLD/CIQ using available automation tools.
  • Validate project activity MOP.
  • Prepare migration and go-live strategy in consent with TPM and customer.
  • Maintain design changes during the project lifecycle.
  • Analyze design and prepare changes from an SU perspective.
  • Perform bug scrubbing before go-live of nodes.
  • Create functional and non-functional ATP TOL (Test Object list) in discussion with customers.
  • Provide troubleshooting support to SE and analysis of traces.
  • Document project lessons learned.
  • Expertise on at least 2 PACO nodes for design and deployment
  • Check and validate the Technical Solution Design (TSD) and highlight any gaps or risks in the solution to Presales and other stakeholders
  • Expertise in all PACO portfolio products
  • Support NPI/NPD projects' design, deployment, upgrade, and integration
  • Identify automation needs and coordinate development with tools team
  • Implement best practices and build PACO assets for reuse
  • Support the DDU PP Leader on project plans definition and effort dimensioning
  • Act as an SME of PACO domain
  • Understanding of surrounding/peer nodes and underlying cloud infrastructure
  • Lead teams of DSA/SE towards successful delivery of big/complex projects
  • Support architecture changes in complex SU projects/expansions
  • Identify serviceability needs and highlight them to the practice leader
  • Mentor junior/new engineers
  • Develop PACO nodes certifications in coordination with KMCD
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco, Nokia) are a plus.
