Job Summary As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you will be a part of the R&D engineering team, directly contributing to the design and implementation of the electronic hardware utilized in our medical devices. Duties & Responsibilities
- Design ownership and oversee engineering life cycle of hardware including architecture, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
- Development of systems and printed circuit boards.
- PCB layout and schematic entry.
- Perform and oversee hardware verification testing.
- Perform electrical design calculations.
- Project scheduling/estimation.
- Defining project performance requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years industry experience with product level development.
- Ability to articulate problems and solutions.
- Good communicator with cross functional team members (ME, SW, PMO).
- Familiar with product development cycle (concept-to-production).
- Ability to describe electrical systems in a block diagram format and also dive into details of each functional block.
- Experience with designing and troubleshooting Analog circuits.
- Developing code using C for embedded systems for board bring up.
- Experience with embedded firmware development using ST, Nordic, Atmel, Renesas, or other 32-bit ARM processors.
- Experience with schematic capture tools: PADS, OrCAD, Altium.
- Experience with electrical simulation software tools: Multisim, PSPICE, TINA.
- Basic knowledge of communication protocols (I2C, UART, SPI, USB).
- Experience with either overseeing or designing PCB layout.
- Able to generate design related documentation for project deliverables.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a Master's Degree.
- Ability to work onsite Monday - Friday in Irvine, CA office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with designing for compliance to IEC 60601-1.
- RF Design/Testing experience.
- Medical device or biomedical device background.
- Experience in designing for EMC compliance and troubleshooting EMC problems.
- Multi-domain troubleshooting in Analog, Digital, and RF portions of designs.
- Basic experience with Matlab.
- Experience with designing for Signal Integrity.
- Experience in interfacing to sensors (Pressure, temperature, humidity).
