Summary:

The U.S. Army Aeromedical Research Laboratory (USAARL) Enroute Care Group is looking for an Engineer Technician III to support the engineering team with development, testing, and maintenance. This position requires a deep understanding of engineering principles, strong technical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform laboratory procedures, field studies, testing, research activities, and other scientific and administrative tasks in the field of engineering and disciplines specified in task orders.
  • Provide engineering technician support for research, analysis, and investigations by supporting data collections and acquisition.
  • Provide engineering technician support for selecting, installing, and maintaining instrumentation.
  • Work closely with project teams, Principal and Associate Investigators, and management to ensure Best Practices and appropriate specifications for high quality, repeatable, reliable, and safe data acquisition.
  • Manage instrumentation, equipment, and data acquisition inventories, tracking, use, operation, and maintenance.
  • Assist with tool crib management: inventory, maintenance, and logs.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in an engineering environment.
  • Experience working in a Test Environment.
  • Experience creating reports, presentations, and papers to summarize research findings.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing research data.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
