Position Summary
This position will serve as an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator within the STAAR Study (Stress trajectories in Adolescents with Anhedonia). The Assistant Clinical Research Assistant will assists with the execution of study protocols, including recruiting study participants, conducting study visits, and collecting, entering, and reviewing study data.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work and communicate with diverse populations effectively and professionally. Ability to work independently as well as function as part of a team. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Proficiency in using electronic data capture systems and statistical analysis software (e.g., RedCap, SPSS, SAS), familiarity with diagnostic criteria for anxiety disorders ( DSM-5 or ICD-11), and experience using standardized assessment tools is strongly preferred. Previous experience as a clinical research coordinator or similar role in a research or healthcare setting, preferably in the field of psychiatry, adolescent mental health, or substance abuse research, is preferred.
Special Physical/Mental Requirements
Must be able to accompany children and families to the MRI scanner in Marsico Hall and assist with MRI data acquisition. Mental and emotional capacity to work with a clinically high-risk adolescent population in a dynamic research environment while maintaining ethical conduct and commitment to participant safety, confidentiality, and data privacy, with or without accommodation.
