Atrium Hospitality is actively recruiting for an Area Director of Finance to oversee the financial operations of two premier properties: the Dallas Fort Worth Embassy Suitesand the Mesquite Hampton Inn & Suites. These unique hotels offer a blend of style, convenience, and Texas charm, boasting impressive spaces-329 suites and 29,000 sq. ft. of meeting space at the DFW Embassy Suites, and 151 rooms with 66,000 sq. ft. of meeting space at the Mesquite Hampton Inn, right next to the iconic Mesquite Rodeo Arena.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000

Bonus Eligible

The Area Director of Finance will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:

  • Ensure compliance with property internal controls, Atrium SOPs, and safeguarding property assets;

  • Support and completing annual and interim external audits;

  • Manage the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, while ensuring the accounts are in good standing;

  • Confirm accurate credit card and cash deposits;

  • Manage Sales and Use Tax accruals and accounts as well as ensuring compliance with all sales and use tax regulations;

  • Manage all daily processes in accounting systems including accurate and timely reporting of daily revenue;

  • Monitor house funds, including cashier variances, providing coaching and disciplinary action, as required;

  • Perform month end tasks and general ledger items, working with Corporate Accounting team to complete financial reporting;

  • Provide the General Managers and department heads with profitability and financial analysis to include labor reviews, forecasts and budgets;

  • Manage direct reports by ensuring Associates understand employment practices, recommending employment decisions and corrective action, supporting performance management, and implementing discipline; and

  • Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.

Required Prior Experience:

3 + years of Financial Accounting experience

2+ years management experience

Strong knowledge of the accounts payable, income audit, and general ledger reconciliation functions

Preferred Prior Experience:

Previous full-service hotel experience

Front desk experience

Hotel accounting, budgeting and forecasting experience

Multi-property accounting experience

Required Education:

Bachelor's in accounting, Business, Finance, Management or other related discipline or equivalent experience

Preferred Technology:

Working knowledge of POS and PMS systems

Birch Street, Concur, and ProfitSage, Sage300
