Are you ready to take the next step in your career? Are you an individual who takes pride in delivering exceptional work? We arecurrently seeking a self-motivated junior engineer to join us supporting the Water Resources and Stormwater Group.

The Brown and Caldwell office is a hub for water resources and stormwater services, supporting projects locally and nationally (through virtual teams). This position will require an engineer that is ready to learn and apply analytical skills to support stormwater, watershed, and other environmental projects.

In this role, you will work with strong, nationally recognized, senior technical staff on various water resources and stormwater related projects Specific duties may include the following:



  • Support design of stormwater management facilities, stream stabilization and restoration, green infrastructure
  • Support technical analyses including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, statistical analyses, GIS mapping, and data management.
  • Assist in preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, permitting support documents, technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables
  • Field work to evaluate stormwater facilities, streams, streambank stability, and related infrastructure
  • Field work to oversee construction related activities and document construction progress
  • Ability to work independently and with teams


Desired Skills and Experience:



  • BS degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or related field required; MS degree preferred
  • PE or EIT in Georgia, or ability to obtain Georgia licensing through reciprocity within 6 months, preferred
  • Minimum of one year of related professional experience preferred, but not required
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Ability to use GIS, AutoCAD and Civil 3D, spreadsheets, word processing
  • Experience with modeling programs such as: HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, WinTR-55, SWMM etc.
  • Good technical skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts both visually and contextually essential
  • Candidate must be willing to travel and work outdoors
  • Ability to walk field sites of varying size that may have areas of uneven, muddy, and/or rocky ground to perform inspections, collect samples, and take photographs
  • Ability to work for short periods of time in extreme temperatures including heat and cold
  • Ability to wear required safety equipment at sites including hard hats, steel toed boots (or other approved toe protection), etc.
  • Ability to stand for several hours observing and documenting field conditions
  • Ability to lift objects less than 30 pounds


Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Location A:
Salary $63,000- 86,000

Location B:
Salary $69,000 - $94,000

Location C:
Salary $76,000 - 103,000
