Position Title: Tool Room Machinist
Wage: $22-$25/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6am-2:30pm QPS Employment Group is hiring a Toolroom Machinist for a company in Elkhorn, WI. Tool Room Machinist Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Set up and operate manual lathes and milling machines to produce precision components - Perform maintenance and repair of tools, fixtures, and dies - Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements - Measure, examine, and test completed components to ensure they meet quality and tolerance standards - Ensure safe operation of all machines and follow safety procedures at all times - Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and improve tooling designs - Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used - Inspect and verify the accuracy of finished products using precision measurement tools Tool Room Machinist Requirements: - Proven experience as a toolroom machinist or similar role - Proficiency in using manual lathes, milling machines, and other machine shop equipment - Strong knowledge of machining techniques, blueprint reading, and precision measurement tools - Ability to work with a variety of materials, including metals and plastics - Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team - Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a machine shop environment - Previous experience in a tool and die environment preferred - Vocational training or certification in machining or a related field preferred QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
