Jr. Computer Network Support Specialist

Who We Are:

Versar is seeking a Junior Computer Network Support Specialist to support the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Information and Technology (OIT) on the Change and Configuration Management Support Services contract.

*This position is contingent upon award of contract.

What You'll Do:

Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network systems, such as local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system. Perform network maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption.

What You'll Bring:

• HS Diploma with 2-3 years equivalent work experience
• Working knowledge of MS Windows and Windows based software
• Thorough knowledge of computer hardware diagnostics and repair required
• Proven experience in supporting Local Area Networks (LAN), servers, switches, and networking equipment
• Proven experience with installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of system hardware, software, desktop support, and printers or equivalent systems and hardware
• Strong organizational and technical skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Successful results of preemployment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen
• Comply with company drug and alcohol policy.
• Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate's start date.

Location Requirements

The position will primarily work onsite in Ashburn, VA.

Compensation

Expected Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year
