Job Duties:

The Manager of Safety and Security oversees the BH Floyd Safety Program and is designated as the Hospital Safety Officer.The manager is responsible for the integration of the Safety Committee into the primary functions and objectives of the facility. The position integrates federal, state, and local safety standards into facility practice. The Manager of Safety and Security develops and implements policies and procedures that guide and support the facility's compliance with standards of safety and regulatory agencies and compliments environmental standards in the state. The position ensures the facility follows ACHC, Medicare, State, OSHA, CAP, Life Safety Codes and other accrediting and licensing agencies. Responsibilities include: planning development, implementation and evaluation of the hospital safety programs, and preparing and submitting annual reports and management plans; Provides direction to all departments in collaboration with Infection Control, Engineering, Clinical Engineering, Quality Management/Accreditation, Risk Management, Security, Employee Health, Laboratory, Environmental Services, Radiology and others as appropriate. The Manager of Safety and Security is responsible for direct oversight of the Security and PBX/Switchboard team

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree.

Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security management, business administration, or healthcare administration program preferred

Three (3) years of safety and/or security experience required.

Active driver's license required.
