Pipeline Superintendent

We are seeking a Supervisor for the West Gulf Coast Pipeline System to join our team based in La Porte Texas. In this role you will be responsible for the safe day-to-day operation and maintenance of the West Gulf Coast Pipeline system, which is comprised of Hydrogen, Carbon Monoxide, Syngas, Nitrogen, Oxygen, Ammonia, and Carbon Dioxide Pipelines that run from Lake Charles Louisiana to Freeport Texas.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Experience in HyCO/ASU operation and maintenance or operations of equivalent complexity.
  • Demonstrated managerial, leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Track record of success on Safety, Quality and Employee Involvement.
  • Strong commitment to employee involvement, team building and diversity.
  • Ability to interface with senior customer representatives, Business area leaders and community leaders.

Key Job Responsibilities:

As the WGC Pipeline Supervisor, you will:

  • Lead a team of 13+ Pipeline Technicians
  • Ensure Operational Regulatory Compliance.
  • Work with the Customer Service Center to coordinate troubleshooting and repair of ASVs, pressure let downs, and customer delivery sites.
  • Understand all of Air Products systems used to manage day-to-day operation of our existing pipeline facilities.
  • Ensure AP values and culture are instilled in the Pipeline team.
  • Develop, implement, and review AP management systems used to support facility safety (LOTO, BSP, Worker Safety, EM), operations (SWIM's, JSA's, eMOC's) and governmental compliance (TRRC, PHMSA).
  • Work with the Air Products Business Area to accommodate customer requests and new growth to the Pipeline systems.
  • Provide clear direction for Pipeline maintenance activities to minimize downtime and meet customer requirements which includes maintaining the SAP PM activities.
  • Liaison between Pipeline technicians and Pipeline Compliance, Integrity, Engineering, and upper management.
  • Assist project team with ongoing Pipeline projects in the WGC as well as managing small projects that are outside of the projects scope.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:

  • Technical Degree (BS/AAS) or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Operational / Maintenance based role.
  • Driver's License:Must hold a valid and clean driver's license.

Work Hours

  • This is a salaried position. Monday - Friday.
  • Ability to take calls afterhours and weekends.
