Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Supply Chain Manager to join our amazing culture. Under limited supervision, the Supply Chain Manager will lead, select, manage, and optimize the supply chain to support all activities related to distribution fulfillment, service, assembly, engineering, facilities, MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations), and capital equipment. This role involves the negotiation and purchase of critical or strategic items, requiring extensive technical or specialized knowledge and experience. The Supply Chain Manager will form strategic alliances with key suppliers through a quantitative supplier certification program and work to aggressively improve sourcing, costing, inventory, and quality goals. As a Supply Chain Manager, you are a part of a dynamic team that allows you to grow as Convergint grows.

What you'll do with "Our Training and Your Experience"


Supplier Management:

  1. Form strategic alliances with key suppliers through a quantitative supplier certification program.
  2. Develop and enhance existing suppliers to meet Convergint's goals of cost, quality, and delivery.
  3. Proactively identify and develop new suppliers where preferred suppliers are inadequate.
  4. Establish long-range strategic sourcing initiatives for assigned commodities.
  5. Develop a strategic international or local sourced supply base to support company business activities.


Supply Chain Optimization:

  1. Aggressively improve sourcing, costing, inventory, and quality goals.
  2. Support all activities related to distribution fulfillment, service, assembly, engineering, facilities, MRO, and capital equipment.
  3. Optimize supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.


Strategic Planning:

  1. Establish long-range strategic sourcing initiatives for assigned commodities.
  2. Formulate and implement strategic plans to support company business activities.


Personnel Management:

  1. Directly and actively manage supply chain personnel, including buyers, junior buyers, planners, and warehouse personnel.
  2. Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations for supply chain staff.


ERP System Management:

  1. Manage item cards in the ERP system by determining and entering key attributes, including lead times, cost, primary and secondary suppliers, sourcing rules, reordering policy, unit of measure, and category codes.


Contract and Pricing Management:

  1. Develop, negotiate, and manage annual supplier pricing contracts to ensure favorable Purchase Price Variance (PPV) in support of company objectives.


Quality and Delivery Management:

  1. Ensure the highest level of quality and on-time delivery to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost.
  2. Review and communicate corrective action requests (CARs), deviations, and delivery performance metrics with suppliers to support effective supplier performance.


Inventory Management:

  1. Manage and optimize inventory levels at all locations, including warehouses, vans, and off-site storage.
  2. Set appropriate inventory levels and monitor inventory turns.


Warehouse Management:

  1. Oversee handling, staging, storing, receiving, and shipping of inventory and materials.
  2. Ensure accuracy and quality in all warehouse operations.


Compliance and Safety:

Communicate requirements for certificates of compliance, MSDS, and other pertinent documentation in alignment with company safety standards
