Essential Job Duties
Provide operational support for Outstanding Researcher (OR) green card process, as well as the occasional Extraordinary Ability and National Interest Waiver green card petitions, and also O-1 extraordinary ability temporary nonimmigrant petitions (after receiving training from the IE Manager). Additional duties may include training on H-1B nonimmigrant petitions, and assisting the Manager with the storage and record retention processes. This position requires a detailed review of all documentation received, and the ability to follow checklists and SOPs and organize a large volume of exhibits and information. With an additional support person, IE will be more efficient in processing OR cases, which will help IE better support campus by assisting faculty members to obtain permanent residence status, which benefits the employee, their family, and also the sponsoring unit directly.

Requirements and Preferences


Work Schedule Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, 40 hours per week.

Minimum Experience/Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience in a professional office setting

Department Required Skills

  • At least one year of experience in a professional office setting
    Exceptional organizational, data entry, and attention-to-detail skills
    Ability to follow instructions and navigate electronic systems, including an immigration case management system
    Ability to exercise tact and discretion while working with sensitive and confidential information and communicating with faculty, department heads, and other senior-level administrators
    Good writing and communication skills, need someone who can work closely with faculty to draft and prepare detailed OR petitions.
