Senior Linguist Analyst

The Senior Linguist Analyst with Peraton Labs will manage the full lifecycle of advanced language exploitation, starting with the curation and collection of country-specific language sources to the dissemination of high-quality analytic production in the furtherance of customer missions. The Senior Linguist Analyst will be expected to:

Recruit and lead teams of junior linguist analysts, overseeing their work and mentoring them through the collection and production lifecycles.
• Organize the collection of publicly available country-specific language source documents, using in-depth subject matter expertise in conjunction with cutting-edge software tools.
• Collaborate with technical staff to ingest, process, and structure collected data in preparation for analytic exploitation.
• Exploit collected data to produce high-quality analytical deliverables.
• Present analytical findings to industry subject matter experts and senior executive audiences

Education/Experience Required:

• Min 8 years with BS/BA, Min 6 years with MS/MA or PhD
• Additional significant relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
• At least 6 years of experience performing analysis using Chinese language skills
• Advanced Chinese reading skills. Current proficiency can be validated either by standardized testing scores (ILR 2+ for reading) and/or by relevant work experience, writing samples, or references
• Subject matter expertise with respect to publicly available information in China
• Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Chinese language aid software (e.g., Wenlin, Pleco)
• Ability to lead teams of junior linguist-analysts or work individually
• Active Top Secret with ability to obtain SCI
• US Citizenship
