This intern program is an excellent opportunity to gain a unique hands-on perspective of tax reporting in a high-volume bank trust tax department.

About the internship

This is a full-time internship that runs January through June. Our trust tax interns aid our Tax Officers in providing a variety of quality tax services to our Key Wealth clients, including preparing individual income tax returns.

What does our internship offer?

• Work with tax software applications to complete individual tax returns for review.
• Complete tasks and organize file to streamline review.
• Ensure data is collected to comply with filing requirements.
• Assist in preparation of tax projections and estimates.
• Preparing allocation spreadsheets for participants in pooled trust
• Transaction reconciliation
• Providing cross-team collaboration and support that may include quantitative andclerical work.
• Orientation to KeyBank's infrastructure and the business
• Mentoring, direct coaching and feedback
• Engagement with business leaders

Qualifications

• Graduation date by December 2025 or May 2026
• Two years of college pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field
• A minimum GPA of 3.0
• A proactive professional with initiative to seek opportunities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to interact with and gain respect of all levels on internal personnel
• Strong communication, leadership, multitasking and organizational skills

Compensation and Benefits

This position is eligible to earn a rate of $21 per hour. Compensation also includes a $2,000 Intern Sign-on Bonus.

KeyBank's Campus Program Internship and Analyst positions are not eligible for employment visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B visa). This includes, for example, situations where a candidate may have temporary work authorization while enrolled in school or upon graduation (e.g., CPT, OPT) but would need H-1B visa sponsorship within a few years of employment in order to maintain employment eligibility.
