OVERVIEW
Merrick & Company is seeking career and quality minded individuals for challenging projects including all types of Boundary, GPS, Photogrammetry, Easement/Right of Way, ALTAs, Topographic and As-Built Surveys. Qualified candidates will be responsible for performing survey related research, performing survey calculations, and creating final survey deliverables. Successful candidate will work under direct supervision of a Land Surveyor. This is a full time position based out of our Greenwood Village (Denver metro), CO office. Typical annual pay range for this position is $28.75 - $36.50 per hour. Pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Perform survey related research using online resources or physical county records.
- Reduce field notes.
- Convert between coordinate systems and datums.
- Load survey data into AutoCAD Civil 3D and perform quality verification on data, communicate with field staff and Project Manager to resolve issues.
- Prepare drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D for various types of surveys including: boundary, GPS, photogrammetry, easement/right of way, ALTA, terrestrial laser scanning, topographic construction layout, design, plan & profile, as-built and uncrewed aircraft systems.
- Draft property descriptions, monumented land survey plats, topographic and contour maps.
- Prepare legal description and exhibits.
- Analyze and model High Definition Scanning (HDS) point cloud data.
- Assist in the field with assignments, as needed.
- Generate SUE deliverables.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of four (4) years of office based land surveying experience.
- Must be proficient in utilizing AutoCAD in the preparation of surveying drawings.
- Must have experience with boundaries, plats, property descriptions, easement & right-of-way maps and processing design survey topography and DTM surfaces.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable under Merrick's insurance carrier.
- Must be familiar with boundary, easement and right-of-way maps, plats and property descriptions, and SUE deliverables.
- Ability to draft property descriptions into CAD environment.
- Solid understanding of coordinate systems, datums and mapping projections commonly used in the United States.
- Ability to perform survey related research using online resources or physical county records.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a geospatial field.
- LSIT or PLS
- Trible Business Center a plus
- Experience in Carlson Survey, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation v8, and Bentley InRoads
