At New Balance, We Got Now.

JOB MISSION:

As New Balance continues to drive Global growth, strategic prioritization of enhanced business process and technology enablement continues to grow. The Business Change Team (BCT) is positioned to support this work by sitting between global and regional end users, digital product management, and IT. It is the role of BCT to become as-is business process experts, scoping the biggest opportunities to transform into a globally led best in class brand.

BCT is looking for merchandising expertise as we begin to dive into Apparel operations, process, and technology. You will be highly influential in determining future state process and governance between Global Apparel teams and cross-functional partners including Commercial DTC and Key Wholesale Accounts, Marketing, Product Creation, Merchandising, and Value Chain. If you are eager to continuously take on new challenges and manage revenue-driving, value-add programs, then this is the right role for you!

To begin, this role will focus on end-to-end Apparel merchandising - from product creation to consumer sales. Optimizing our Apparel Go-to-Market (GTM) and Commercial execution processes are a primary pillar in enabling New Balance to meet growth plans in the next five years. Your primary goal is to support the delivery of integrated consumer experiences (Stores/Online), improved adoption of Global/Regional merchandising intent, and standardize execution of operational GTM milestones. This initiative will succeed if we can deliver best-in-class Apparel experiences across all regions.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Identify, evaluate, and document the current state of the end-to-end Apparel organization, including processes, systems, and culture by engaging with key stakeholders to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Define measurable GTM KPI's, with clear ownership across multiple functions throughout the end-to-end process.
  • Operate as a support for Apparel leadership support functions, integrating into key meetings, milestones, and deliverables to observe opportunities.
  • Become an expert in the Apparel organization roles & responsibilities, identifying refinement areas as it relates to GTM decision making.
  • Establish standardized processes and document best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency across teams.
  • Work in partnership with PMO to develop a comprehensive project plan, considering timelines, resource allocation, and potential risks.
  • Partner across all transformation domains to ensure Apparel is equally considered in key decisions.
  • Support large-scale transformation programs, ensuring Apparel is understood and being proactively planned for. In some cases, program tracks will be your responsibility.
  • Collaborate closely with the GTM Operations team to share back findings and workshop how to make iterative improvement over time.
  • Support end users through extensive change management planning and activation in close partnership with Transformation Leaders and OCM team.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • 6+ years of experience in Go-to-Market Operations, Apparel Product Creation/Merchandising, Business Transformation, or similar roles, preferably in a large matrix organization.
  • Experience in Apparel Retail required.
  • Ability to partner with varied stakeholders and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Track record of delivering on-time, high-quality work.
  • Creative energy and ability to work within a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Flexibility, creative problem solving and innovation mindset.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and in receiving direction from multiple people and prioritizing or asking for prioritization assistance from managers.
  • Understanding of Global RACI/Business Process mapping.
  • Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Miro/Mural experience preferred.
