Shift Safety Manager Location Fort Novosel, AL Job Posting No 112520 Start Date TBD Contract FT Novosel AMS Salary Range DOE Posting Date 9/17/24 Union No FLSA Status Exempt Shift Work Possible FT/PT Full-time Relocation No Travel Possible M1 is looking for a Shift Safety Manager: Position Description: * Manages air/ground/industrial safety programs at assigned (site/shift) IAW PWS/federal/state/local/company guidance. * Demonstrates continuous effort to improve safety operations, eliminate mishaps, and protect resources. * Develops and sustains a culture of safety, quality compliance, and professionalism. * Ensures compliance with directives, technical manuals, work standards, safety procedures, and company policies. * Applies company policies and procedures pertaining to the safety of employees. * Ensures employees possess the qualifications and certifications necessary to perform their jobs. * Duties, assignments, locations and shifts as assigned. * Able to work alternate shifts and locations as needed. Additional Requirements: * The Site/Shift Safety Manager shall have three years of prior experience managing and administering a safety program. * Bachelor Degree in related field preferred. * Must be a graduate of one of the following: U.S. Army Aviation Safety Officer Program, Naval and Marine Aviation Safety Officer Course, U.S. Air Force Flight Safety Officers Course, U.S. Army Ground Safety Officer Course, U.S. Army Aviation Safety NCO Course, Naval Aviation Safety Specialist Course, U.S. Air Force 1S0X1 (Journeyman (5- Skill) level or higher certification) Course, American National Standards Institute (ASI) accredited U.S. Army CP-12 Program, or have a Baccalaureate Degree in Safety. * Able to obtain/maintain security clearance as required by PWS. * Comprehensive understanding of aircraft maintenance, safety, and quality control procedures in an Army/USAF aviation environment. * Must possess competent computer skills. * Ability to understand and interpret various aircraft technical manuals preferred. * Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. * Must be able to move about both inside aircraft hangars and outside on aircraft ramps within close proximity of running equipment and aircraft. * Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining a professional and non-confrontational attitude. * Must possess/maintain a valid driver's license. * Must be able to complete Ammo training if assigned to Molinelli Aerial Gunnery Range Complex.
