The Adult Forensic Team is looking for a Mental Health Clinician to provide mental health court liaison services within the Adult Services Program. The Clinician will work as part of a treatment team and provide clinical services to individuals with mental health needs who are involved in the treatment court system. The clinician will work within Overland Park Municipal Court, the focus of which will be primarily determination of approval into court programs; completing clinical assessments needed for admission into programs; and administrative duties of managing the programs, including data tracking. Johnson County has implemented a skill-based pay plan of up to $4200 annually for staff who have obtained licensure by the BSRB at the Clinical Level. Job Description Additional duties include: Job Requirements Minimum Job Requirements: Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or other Human Services field and Kansas Behavioral Sciences licensure* at the master's level in the area of focus are required. Requires a KS/MO driver's license and an acceptable driving record. *Applicants who meet Kansas licensure requirements may be considered if Kansas licensure is obtained by time of an employment offer and licensure is pending confirmation at the time of employment application. Kansas Behavioral Sciences license at the clinical level; licensed as a Master's or Clinical Addiction Counselor by the Behavioral Health Sciences Regulatory Board with the State of Kansas, experience working in a community mental health setting preferred. Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department/Agency. Preferred Job Requirements: Substance Abuse license at the Master's Level or Kansas Behavioral Sciences license at the clinical level and one year of experience in the area of focus are preferred. Physical, Environmental, and Special Working Conditions: All County employees may be called upon to assist other departments in a declared emergency situation. |
