We seek a safety-conscious Class A CDL Driver to join the team with Murrey's Disposal, a Waste Connections Company, in Fife, WA.

PAY AND SCHEDULE:

  • Competitive Wages start at $35.00 to $35.50/HR
  • This a Monday-Friday role with occasional Saturdays. The start time is between 4 am and 6 am.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Driving Tractor Trailer with a dedicated local route. Manual transmission at 13 & 18 speed is utilized in tractor/trailer equipment.
  • Possibility for training on Roll Off.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspection and maintenance, such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
  • Ability to perform a physically demanding job, lifting 50lbs regularly.
  • Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

  • Climbing in and out of the cab up to 40+ times/day.
  • The work environment involves exposure to physical risks, such as moving mechanical parts, which requires following basic safety precautions.
  • The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and humid conditions, fumes, and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate.
  • You will be working in all weather conditions.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid Class A CDL.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to learn and use interpersonal skills relating to quality customer service.
  • As verified by a current MVR/driver abstract, all qualifications defined under DOT regulation 49 CFR 383.51 must be met.
  • We want you to have at least three years of Class A commercial driving experience, preferably with 53' trailers.
  • Clean safety and driving record.
  • Able to work in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to deal with the physicality of the job with no issues.
  • Basic knowledge of truck components to complete pre-and post-trip inspections.
  • Safety Sensitive: Yes.
