Yoh has an exciting opportunity for an Ocular Scientist
to join our rapidly growing life science client based in Mountain View, CA. This opportunity is ideal for candidates that have either a PhD Diploma or Master's Degree with 2+ years of experience in gene editing within ophthalmology: in vivo, ex vivo, in vitro. Relevant experience includes mRNA/LNP as well as CRISPR/Cas9.

The aim of this role is design preclinical research, execute experiments, analyze data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Ocular Experiments: in vivo
    , ex vivo, in vitro
  • Experienced with molecular techniques: PCR, qPCR, Western Blot, ELISA, IHC
  • Imaging such as OCT, fundus photography
  • Utilizing mRNA technology alongside LNP delivery
  • Data analysis software such as GraphPad, Prism, etc..
  • PhD or Master's with 2+ Years of Ophtamology Experience



Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Ophthalmology, Pharmacology, Cellular Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field. Alternatively, a master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience in ophthalmology research.
  • Strong background in eye biology, disease mechanisms, and therapeutic approaches.
  • Previous industry experience in ophthalmology
    or drug development.
  • Strong hands-on experience working with in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models of eye diseases.
  • Proficiency in molecular and cellular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, Western blot, ELISA, immunohistochemistry).
  • Familiarity with imaging techniques (e.g., OCT, fundus photography) is a plus.
  • Previous research focus has been on advancing ocular translational research and applications
  • Experience developing and enhancing molecular understanding of cellular repair and regeneration in inflammation and age associated degenerative diseases.
  • Excellent data analysis skills and proficiency in software tools such as GraphPad, Prism, or similar.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data to diverse audiences.



Preferred Qualification

  • Experience working with mRNA and lipid nanoparticles
  • Experience with CRISPR/Cas9, gene therapy, or other advanced therapeutic modalities.
  • Experience with Flow Cytometry / FACS is a plus.
  • Track record of scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Previous experience in cell and molecular biology of aging and diseases in other
