Position Summary

The Transdisciplinary Evaluation and Support Clinic (TEASC) Project provides interdisciplinary consultative evaluations for individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (IDD), conducts research, and provides teaching in multiple venues. TEASC is funded by NM HCA/DDSD, housed in the Dept. of Family and Community Medicine, and includes clinicians from a variety of disciplines, including psychiatry, neurology, and pharmacy. The TEASC team has taken on multiple new projects in recent years and anticipates continued growth. A second contract, Pre-Admission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) provides PASRR Level II-MI evaluations for individuals going into long term care.

We are seeking a Program Operations Director to provide administrative leadership and direction in partnership with clinical leadership. The Program Operations Director will direct and coordinate operations by overseeing all clinical and administrative functions, set strategic direction, develop and manage budgets, and develop, negotiate, write and administer our contracts with the state, while exploring and pursuing additional funding sources. This position provides technical and professional leadership and expertise to the TEASC Medical Director and team and works closely with state officials to develop goals to best serve the IDD population in New Mexico. The Program Operations Director will:

Develop, negotiate, and write contracts and contract proposals.

Develop and manage annual budgets for each contract. Invoice monthly and provide quarterly and annual reports on both contracts.

Ensure compliance with all university, state, and federal laws, policies, and regulations.

Design and implement processes for completion of all contract goals.

Directly supervise administrative staff, including hiring, training, mentoring, and annual evaluations. Manage clinical staff, including hiring, training, and writing and managing MOUs for clinical staff from outside departments.

Serve as liaison with UNM Departments, State leadership, and communities state-wide. Attend meetings and provide formal updates on TEASC services.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.



Preferred Qualifications

Master's Level degree in applicable field, such as business/management and/or clinical, therapy or counseling degree.

Interest and experience providing services to individuals with IDD. Knowledge of state IDD support services.

Leadership skills, including strategic and long-term planning to develop and achieve short and long-term goals.

Excellent communication skills to foster teamwork and community collaboration.

Skills and experience in budget and financial management and projection.

Skills and experience in personnel management and supervision

Experience giving trainings, talks, PowerPoint presentations.

Experience in behavioral health and IDD research.

Knowledge of UNM organizational structure and operating procedures including Banner, UNM Purchasing Policies and procedures, PowerChart.
